Great article. The more we can emphasise to the customers of social media marketing services that it's not about shouting - it's about adding value. And it's nice to see people spending time and money on building relationships rather than feeding keywords to Google.

For some customers the social media activity will be largely off-site - on higher profile forums, for example. They still need some sort of effective web presence, however, to back up the activity.

This is great stuff! Too many people bookmark this, submit that and then claim that social media marketing is useless and doesn't work. It's about HOW you do it .... great points!

I agree with you Brent..^^ it is really important to make your site look friendly and not just full of commercials and ads about your products..so that visitors will stay on your page longer..also try to post articles that have great contents so your readers will find your site helpful and there is a great tendency that they will visit again..^^

Hey Brent,

My Google alert for "Social Media" picked up this post so I checked it out. Thought it was a good read. I was hoping there might be a link or mention of some kind of widget to add to my site that easily shows all my social media profiles and links. If you are aware of anything like that please let me know.
