Reddit Redesigns the Redesign Based on User Feedback
I talked with Alexis, co-founder of reddit, and got a few updates on the status and changes to the redesign efforts on Reddit.com.
Currently expected to launch sometime next week, if no further bugs or issues are discovered, the Reddit community has been vocal in what they like and hate about the new designs. Since the release earlier this month on May 7th, 2008, there have been a few more changes, as of today, to the design over at http://beta.reddit.com.

Digg Gets Vulgar, But Only Once They Know You
It would appear Digg slipped in a slick little feature during one of the recent updates.
If a Digg submissions uses vulgarity in the title or description, it is changed automatically to show “*” and censor the word.

However, if you log into Digg, then you again see the vulgar term uncensored.

Earlier this week on Tuesday, 12 May 2008, I was invited and spoke at the Infopresse Search Marketing Conference in Montreal, Canada.
First off, I would like to thank my good friend Guillaume, NVI Solutions SEO, for recommending me to Infopresse and also to Veronique Desrosiers for making sure I ate some special Montreal food and saw some different parts of the city.
The conference was fun, even though 90% of all communication was in French. I spoke for about an hour on social media, how to leverage it for marketing, the various types of content that perform well, and what the top social communities are.

Digg Comments: Finally Fixed
About a year ago, Digg launched a new version of their comment system which a large number of users were not to happy about.
They introduced the ability to digg or bury individual comments, sorting options based on comment score, making friends comment a greenish hue, the ability to block users, threaded commenting, and a 3 minute window to make edits to your comment before they became permanent.
A few short months after this launch, around June 2007, they launched another changed.
