Share Your Reddit Favorites… Again

If you have been on Reddit much over the last few days, you might have noticed the share feature has returned. Click on the “share” button under any submission and fill in the blanks to send your favorite stories to anyone through email.

Reddit Adds Image Thumbnails to Submissions

Reddit added a new feature on July 3rd, 2008, which, unfortunately, almost no one noticed.

Since Reddit has always been cautious about changes and how their users will react to them, they launched “image thumbnails” as an opt-in feature to see how people would like it.

It is set to become the default option in the near future, at which point more people will discover it.

To their behalf, they did blog about it, but probably could have chosen a better time than the day before one of our biggest vacation and party holidays in the US.

Reddit Goes Open Source

Last night I wrote an article about Reddit’s big announcement party and the Tagging feature I discovered a little early. It turns out the feature “was the result of a prank, but we suspect tags will be one of the first features developed…”

Tonight is the announcement party where Reddit was supposed to deliver a surprise announcement. However, for some reason they have decided to release their surprise early through a video featuring the Reddit alien and a huge message.

Reddit’s Secret Announcement Just Got Tagged

Some of you might have heard that Reddit has planned a small event tomorrow, June 18, in order to make some significant announcements about some new changes to Reddit.com. You can also see the announcement from time to time if you visit the site, which is down from time to time for the new changes.
