SMX Advanced 2009 in Seattle… We Be Stumbling
SMX Advanced is coming up quick and this year, instead of just going and hanging out, I decided to jump on a panel and talk a bit about social media… go figure 
Since StumbleUpon has been making some big changes over the last year, site owners have seen a huge increase in referrals and the quality of those visits.
Where StumbleUpon used to send about 15,000 to 20,000 visits back in 2007, and around 25,000 to 30,000 in 2008, it has made a huge jump in 2009 with site owners reporting traffic well into the 100,000 to 150,000 range.
So what better to talk about everything that is StumbleUpon… From how it works, how you can properly participate in it, and what you can expect for results from your efforts.

StumbleUpon Toolbar Storing 500 Queued Pages Now?
If you are not familiar with StumbleUpon and its toolbar, there is a ‘Send to’ feature that allows you to send the page you are currently on to one of your mutual friends. The page you send will be queued into your friends StumbleUpon toolbar and the queued pages are shown before any regular pages through the StumbleUpon system.
There is a Red number that will appear just to the right of the Stumble button, on the left side of the toolbar. This number indicates how many pages your mutual friends have sent you and are in queue for you to see.
StumbleUpon Makes Discovery Easy
StumbleUpon released a new change to their discovery process today that makes it super easy for anyone to add content to their system.
It is important to point out that the biggest changes are for the users that have the StumbleUpon toolbar installed. If you are discovering content through the site or with one of the StumbleUpon social media buttons, then you see basically the same screen you did before, with a minor design change.
