Social Media Career Advice
Internet Marketing from the Real Experts
Internet Marketing as a whole can be extremely effective, rewarding, and even exciting, but it can also leave you feeling lost, worn out, and defeated.
With so many aspects to marketing online and so many people offering suggestions, you can sometimes find yourself confused on what advice really matters and will actually work for you.
I am confident when it comes to Social Media Marketing for visibility and links, because it is something I do every day, but even with years of experience doing affiliate marketing, SEO, and paid search, I still find myself lost and seeking a little advice or direction from the people who are more knowledgeable in those areas than I am.
But what if you don’t have access to the world’s experts? Well… now you do… sort of.
Internet Marketing from the Real Experts offers quick and relevant advice from 88 of the top internet marketing experts on many aspects of online marketing, mostly affiliate marketing, but some on search engine marketing, social media and more.
As an added bonus to having a ton of really useful information, all proceeds from the sale of the book go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
I highly recommend you grab a copy and check this book out… you won’t regret it.

7 Tips to Creating Kick Ass Social Media Linkbaits
I was asked a while back to write an article for iMedia covering some various tips for how to create a really kick ass social media linkbait.

What people often do not realize is that a successful linkbait isn’t always just about the article. It is how the site looks, the way the article is organized, the ease in which you have made it for someone to link to you, and of course the article topic and quality.
If you have a chance, check out the various tips below on the iMedia site.
I probably should have put in there an 8th tip, about how you should always put the entire article on one page in order to avoid annoying social media users… oh well.
WordPress for Social Media on ‘Press This’
WordPress is by far one of my favorite CMS and blogging platforms. Mostly because I am not a developer and WordPress allows me to put up a high quality site quickly with enough plugins and information to implement all the features and design functions I require.
However, when it comes to social media marketing, looking like you just threw up a default wordpress site isn’t going to win you any votes of confidence… or votes at all.
So when Joost de Valk asked if I would like to join him on his WebMasterRadio show called ‘Press This‘, I immediately said yes.
We had a really good discussion on some of the various plugins that will make your WordPress life easier, some aspects of how to design your site for social media, whether or not you should put social media buttons on your blog, and how many aspects of WordPress, PHP, and thumbnails can cause your server to crash if you find success in the bigger social media communities.
The show turned out great and if you want to hear what we had to say, then just click the link below:
