I was asked a while back to write an article for iMedia covering some various tips for how to create a really kick ass social media linkbait.
What people often do not realize is that a successful linkbait isn’t always just about the article. It is how the site looks, the way the article is organized, the ease in which you have made it for someone to link to you, and of course the article topic and quality.
If you have a chance, check out the various tips below on the iMedia site.
I probably should have put in there an 8th tip, about how you should always put the entire article on one page in order to avoid annoying social media users… oh well.
Social Media marketing through quality link generation is a unique concept in terms of strategy although as an idea it may be as old as the hills.
I have resolved to explore all avenues leading to a higher traffic, be it social media linkbaits or any other.
Thanks for the great article, Brent. It includes some very useful information. I think the best points were: keeping your site up to date, not having distracting adverts everywhere, making it easy on the eye, planning your campaign, being original, not offending anyone and making your content easy to share. I will be focussing on these particular tips in future.
