Regular Reddit users should have noticed a new addition to the front page at Reddit.com today.
Above the regular submissions, a new box has been added that shows a random new and upcoming story. The stories shown are selected based on various factors and it is designed to give more attention to the newer stories that have not reached the front page yet.
You can click the left or right arrows on the right side of the box to see a new story or return to a story you already saw.
If you don’t like the new feature, you can disable it easily in your profile options.
This appears to be the only addition that I have noticed since the official redesign went live.
Maybe Digg can take after this? It seems the algorithms of these sites are skewed and some front page worthy stories are always overlooked… so good job reddit!
